About
Paul Sloan is a longtime journalist, who has worked for Fortune Magazine, National Public Radio, CNN and a bunch of other places, on staff and as a freelancer.
This site grew out of a column he used to write for Business 2.0, the dead Time Inc. magazine, called Playing The Angles. Fortunately, Time Inc. doesn’t have the trademark.
Paul has teamed up with David Carter, an Internet entrepreneur, marketer and domain name investor from the UK and together, they plan on building an interactive site, based on interviews and business experiments with some of the world’s finest entrepreneurs.
As time goes by, PlayingTheAngles will open it’s forum, introduce some interesting competitions and hopefully, help create some wealth for it’s readership.

Hello Mr. Sloan,
If you are the same Paul Sloan that started out at The Anniston Star, I’d like to give you a tip that you may or may not be interested in.
A 1991 story on missing persons In Piedmont Alabama, written by Paul Sloan, struck my attention. We have another missing girl. Ity’s been four months since she’s been seen, and her boyfriend, who is currently jailed, has the last name of Steed. Karen Steed has been missing since Nov. of 1997.
And they just found a body, still waiting for ID (DNA).
Just though you might be interested.
Take care,
Eddie Burkhalter
